P4/5 had a fantastic day out at Parkanaur Forest with The Speedwell Trust! Despite the very wet weather, we were able to carry out lots of experiments in the River Torrent. We had to measure its width, it’s depth and also it’s water speed. After this everyone was given a net to find river indicators. These are small insects and animals which live in water depending on its quality. We were delighted to find all the indicators of clean water and no pollution!
