This afternoon, The Take 5 team visited Hope and learnt about some of the services it provides. ‘Hope’ is the main Foodbank hub in Magherafelt so we learnt more about the vital support it provides to the community. During the visit, the team gained insight into how donations are sorted, packaged, and distributed to families in need. They also rolled up their sleeves and volunteered for the afternoon, helping date and organise supplies and prepare food parcels. It was a rewarding experience that highlighted the importance of community support and teamwork while giving everyone a greater appreciation for the incredible work foodbanks do every day. This was a great way for the Take 5 ambassadors to promote the strands ‘Give’ and ‘Connect’, both in school and at home.
