Through our theme of 'In Our Town' we have been learning about a very important place in Magherafelt. Our school, Magherafelt Primary School. During this time we have been shadowing people with very important jobs within our school and finding out what they get up to.
Our school secretary, Gillian came to talk to us about her role at Magherafelt Primary School, the children asked her some very intriguing questions and she invited us to her office to test out her swirly chair, watch the cameras, listen to phone calls and see how the paper shredder worked.
The children enjoyed shadowing our caretaker, Nigel as he carried out some of his important jobs around school. He had help to empty bins and deliver the milk.
Our cleaner, Sharon had some extra help to brush the floors, hoover and clean the windows. We now know how important it is to keep our classroom tidy.
The children are looking forward to exploring this theme further and moving closer in to Magherafelt town.
