Ladybirds in P2/3 CG
We have been learning all about ladybirds in our Theme, and we got creative by making our own ladybirds. We painted paper plates red and then had to wait patiently for them to dry before adding the legs, head and, of course, the spots — which had to be the same on both sides!
We have also been learning lots of interesting facts about ladybirds.
- We discovered that ladybirds can lay up to 300 eggs
- They usually only live for around one year.
- We learnt about the life cycle of a ladybird and how they change from an egg to a larva, then a pupa, before becoming a ladybird.
-We also found out that ladybirds can be orange, red or yellow.
- They are part of the beetle family.
