We have been learning all about sunflowers as part of our new theme, It’s Alive. Yesterday, we explored lots of interesting facts about sunflowers, and today we learned about their life cycle. We created a fun flip book to show the different stages, which we are excited to display in school. Here are some of the facts we discovered:
- Sunflowers grow towards the sun.
- They start life as a seed.
- Sunflowers are large, bright flowers.
- They can have yellow, red, pink, or orange petals.
- Bees love collecting nectar from them.
- Sunflowers need sunlight and water to grow.
